    Overview

    This position is primarily responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures, to analyze financial information, and perform the monthly close process. This position will be supporting the accounting team with a wide range of accounting tasks.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

    • Perform monthly corporate close activities, including: preparation of journal entries, review and reconcile general ledger accounts, monthly accruals, and prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
    • Prepare year-end audit schedules and support external auditors in their accounting inquiries and requests.
    • Responsible for the calculation of commission and sales bonus payments, account reconciliation for all related accounts, and coordination with the payroll department.
    • Understanding the compensation plans for the Sales team, Maintenance Renewal team, and Presales Engineer team.
    • Assist with daily bank activity and deposits.
    • Maintain sales and use tax reconciliation and review related tax returns.
    • Other duties as assigned by manager.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • 3+ years of full range general ledger accounting experience in a corporation.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
    • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy are required.
    • Proficiency in use of MS Office applications, in particular MS Excel is a must.
    • Candidates must be trustworthy and able to keep information confidential.
    • Experience working in NetSuite a plus, but not required.
